Noni Madeleine
My name is Noni, i am a painter with Dutch and Antillean roots based in Amsterdam.
Painting feels like a form of therapy for me, like a visual diary. When words fall short, I turn to painting. It provides a safe haven while pushing me out of my comfort zone, exposing me to subjects, conversations, places, experiences, and people I otherwise wouldn't have encountered. It truly serves as a connecting force. I explore themes such as my emotional realm, my roots, my experiences as a woman of color, and generational healing. Integrating these themes into artwork allows me to express myself and connect with others.
